The City of Gahanna has mandatory tax filing for anyone that
lived in the City during the year and had earned income. The
Gahanna Income Tax Return is due on or before April 15.
RITA Collects Gahanna Municipal Income Tax
The Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) has begun managing municipal income tax collection for the city of Gahanna. RITA is a non-profit governmental agency established in 1971 under Chapter 167 of the Ohio Revised Code.
RITA offers free on-line filing and payment services to Gahanna residents and businesses. You can download and necessary tax form’s as well as E-File your Gahanna municipal income taxes at the RITA website at www.ritaohio.com. If you have any questions about Gahanna municipal income taxes, your filing status or balance due, you can contact RITA directly at 866-721-7482.
For withholders, RITA offers online registration and payment as well. Withholders contact RITA at 866-721-7482 for payment coupons and reconciliation requirements.

Checks or money orders should be payable to the Regional Income Tax Agency or R.I.T.A. Please include the last four digits of your Social Security Number or Federal Identification Number on all payments and correspondence.
The City of Gahanna has arranged for employees from RITA to be available to assist you in preparing your 2009 Gahanna municipal income tax return March 24, 25 and 26 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Gahanna City Hall. This assistance will be provided at no charge for citizens and will be available on walk-in/first-come first-served basis.
