Front Pool at Gahanna Swimming Pool Opening Delayed Due to Repair
The front pool at the Gahanna Swimming Pool, 148 Parkland Dr, will not open Saturday, May 25, due to a maintenance project taking longer than expected. Earlier this year, Parks and Recreation staff began the process to repair the pool floor. This work took longer than anticipated due to inclement spring weather and the discovery of additional maintenance needs once the work began.

City of Gahanna Freedom Festival and Fireworks Canceled
The 2013 Gahanna Freedom Festival and fireworks show have been canceled due to budget and service reductions that are being made throughout the City. The cancellation of this event is just the first of many cuts the Mayor and city officials will need to implement to make up for the projected $12.9 million budget deficit projected in 2014. |

City Expects $1 Million in Savings From Sale of Bonds
The City of Gahanna has refinanced bonds from 2005, the total cash savings throughout the life of the bonds will be $1.06 million. From 2014 to 2030, the City will see an average annual cash savings of $58,000 to $62,000. |

Street Paving 25-Year Outlook
The City of Gahanna Service Department has completed its annual evaluation of the pavement condition of city streets. Based on this assessment a 25-year outlook for street paving was generated.

Master Plan Paying Off: Trails are Connecting Gahanna
The City of Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation Director, Tony Collins, updated City Council on the progress towards connecting trails and bikeways throughout Gahanna, including the Big Walnut Trail, at Monday’s weekly meeting. The design and construction of multipurpose trails is a fundamental piece of the City's Five Year Capital Plan. |
