Charter Review Commission
The 2016 Charter Review Commission was appointed by the Mayor and City Council to evaluate the language contained in the City Charter and determine if recommendations for change were warranted. The Charter Review Commission is convened once every 5 years. Proposed changes recommended by the Commission have been approved by the City Council for placement on the November 8, 2016 General Election ballot. Any change to the Gahanna City Charter must be approved by the voters.

The Gahanna City Charter is the "local constitution" and provides the framework for how the City is structured and governed. Given the importance of this document, the Mayor and City Council appointed a highly knowledgeable and experienced group of citizens representing a variety of professional and personal backgrounds, community involvement and leadership experience.
