The City of Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation Director, Tony Collins, updated City Council on the progress towards connecting trails and bikeways throughout Gahanna, including the Big Walnut Trail, at Monday’s weekly meeting. The design and construction of multipurpose trails is a fundamental piece of the City's Five Year Capital Plan. |

City Updates Plans for Emerald Ash Borer Tree Removal
The City of Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation has completed its evaluation of Ash trees for 2012 and approximately 300 of the City’s original 1,400 street Ash trees will be removed this year. |

Playground at Trapp Park Update
In 2011, the playground at Trapp Park, one of Gahanna’s many ‘mini parks’, was removed due to safety concerns. In June 2012, construction began on the new playground. |

Creekside Development Purchase Update
On Monday Gahanna City Council voted (7-0) to transfer the development agreement to Strathmore Development Company who purchased the Creekside development. This final step enabled Strathmore to officially close on the purchase this week. |
