The Technology Department is responsible for planning, developing, integrating, implementing and protecting all aspects of technology used by the city's internal staff and departments as well as programs used by the public to access important information about the city and the services the city provides.

| In addition, the department works alongside the city's other departments to help create new work methods and processes utilizing technology to lower the city's operational costs, increase work process efficiencies, and find new ways to generate non-tax revenues so the residents get a very high return on their tax investment. |
