Gahanna’s Department of Public Safety is comprised of the Division of Police, Emergency Communications and Animal Control operations. Robert Keyes serves as the Director of Public Safety, overseeing the Department’s operations. With over thirty years of public service as a law enforcement officer and administrator with Ohio’s Department of Corrections, Director Keyes has overseen the rapid transformation of the Department in providing leading-edge professional services to Gahanna’s businesses and residents.

Gahanna Police Promotions Gahanna Police Promotions
Director of Public Safety, Robert O.E. Keyes, conducted a promotional ceremony during Monday evening’s regular meeting of Gahanna’s City Council.  The two newly promoted sergeants, Ernest Choung and Benjamin Roush, will replace two retiring sergeants, Monty McCormick and James Graham.
Street Paving 25-Year Outlook Street Paving 25-Year Outlook
The City of Gahanna Service Department has completed its annual evaluation of the pavement condition of city streets.  Based on this assessment a 25-year outlook for street paving was generated.

Manhole Inspection Project Manhole Inspection Project
The City has contracted with Dreier & Maller Inc to inspect 300 sanitary sewer manholes in the northwest quadrant of Gahanna.
