Claycraft Road Watermain Replacement

Claycraft Road

On January 15, weather permitting, a contractor will begin replacing the aging watermain located beneath Claycraft Road.

The westbound lane of Claycraft Road, between Taylor Station Road and Morrison Road, will be closed from approximately January 15 through February 29. A posted detour will direct westbound traffic north onto Taylor Station Road, to westbound Taylor Road, and then to southbound Morrison Road. As part of the watermain installation, a temporary pavement will be constructed prior to the reopening of Claycraft Road to westbound traffic. Permanent pavement is expected to be constructed in May.

While the watermain replacement is under construction, some residents and businesses in the surrounding area may experience a short interruption in water service, lasting no more than four hours.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to improve the City’s water service. Should you have further questions, please contact the Department of Engineering at engineering@gahanna.gov or by telephone at (614) 342-4050.
