Goodbye to a fantastic July in Gahanna! We hope you enjoyed the excitement of July activities with Parks & Rec to make the most of this summer season. Don't forget, exploring Gahanna's beautiful parks is always a great way to spend a summer day. July may be ending, but August welcomes the 175 Year Celebration of Gahanna. Get ready for more events, more pool side activities, and more chances to explore our city. Welcome August.

Golfers at Gahanna Municipal Golf Course

National Golf Month

Join us at Gahanna Municipal Golf Course the entire month of August to celebrate National Golf Month! During the month of August, we are encouraging you to get out and play 9 holes. Anyone who comes to play will receive a punch card that will be used to track the number of rounds played throughout August. Play 9 rounds and you get the 10th round free!

Gahanna 175 Anniversary!

Creekside LIVE: Celebrating Gahanna

Friday, August 9 - Creekside Plaza & Rotary Stage, 5 - 10 p.m.

Listen to music through the ages during this special edition of Creekside Live with Pop Gun headlining the night at 7:30 p.m. Be sure to come early as you won't want to miss this exciting night of great music and community pride!

Gahanna's 175 Jubilee

Saturday, August 10 - Creekside District, 6 - 10 p.m.

Start the celebration by joining us at Jefferson Elementary for an exciting baseball game between the Gahanna Banana's and the Muffins at 11 a.m. And don't miss out on the spectacular drone show at 9:30 p.m., the perfect way to cap off a fantastic evening!

Come Together Gahanna

Sunday, August 11 - Friendship Park, 12 p.m.

Come together as a community by volunteering throughout Gahanna and head to Friendship Park for a community picnic at 12 p.m. after volunteering, where you can bring your own picnic and socialize with friends!

Pool Update

Back-to-School Hours: Aug 15 - Sep 2

Hunters Ridge Pool will be CLOSED Mondays - Fridays and open on Saturdays & Sundays plus Labor Day from 12 - 7 p.m. Gahanna Swimming Pool will be closed for the season. Note: Registration is open now for our last session of Swimming Lessons. These lessons will run Saturdays and Sundays from August 10 to August 25 at Hunters Ridge Pool. Cinema Under the Stars

Looking for something fun to do with the whole family? Pack up and head to Friendship Park for movie night! Enjoy yard games and crafts available before the movie starts at dusk, and even meet a mermaid! Be sure to bring blankets or lawn chairs to find a spot on the hill in front of the big screen!

Muddy Miler

Gahanna Swimming Pool

Join Gahanna Parks & Rec for the Muddy Miler and get ready to get dirty! Race participants will start the race in staggered heats and can enjoy food from food trucks along with beverages from a local brewing company. Monday, August 19 at 9 p.m.

Hoover Reservoir Oxbow Road Boat Ramp

Take advantage of sighting unique lunar events from the water as you kayak with ACA-certified instructors. Kayaks, life vests, and paddles will be provided, along with guides to assist throughout the float. This month's feature is the Blue Moon! Registration and additional information can be found here!

Friday, August 23 from 5 - 10 p.m.

Creekside Plaza & Rotary Stage

Presenter: Kemba Financial Credit Union

Creekside Live is back with its last date this summer! Groove out on Friday evening with family, friends, and the Gahanna community while listening to local bands and performers. Opening acts will perform at the plaza from 5 - 7 p.m., with the headlining artists performing on the Creekside Rotary Stage from 7:30 - 10 p.m.

Kayak Float

Saturday, August 24 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Morse Road Kayak Launch - Pizzurro Park

Spend your day on the water with this fun kayak float experience. This all-day float is designed for those 18 and older. Participants will get to stop for a break and enjoy a picnic lunch at Creekside Park, halfway through the float! Registration and additional information can be found here!
