Family Fun Activities

Family Hike: Sat, Nov 9 9 – 10am

Academy Park

Gahanna’s annual Holiday Lights Celebration bring you a merry afternoon for all ages! Family– friendly activities and attractions, food trucks and vendors, a holiday stage with live entertainment, a tree lighting, and most importantly Santa!

Allison Barnes – Art on the Move Jump straight into acrylic painting with Painting 101. In this class, you will dive into a painting utilizing a reference photo, learning tools, and an instructor. Painting 101 has a 6:1 student–instructor ratio, ensuring that all participants can receive one–on–one instruction as needed. To register click here.

Fitness - Yoga

Yoga : Nov 5 - Dec 17

Chair Yoga: Nov 6 - Dec 18

Instructor Kristi teaches yoga asana (movement) linked to breath for mind body awareness. Explore and flow through seated, standing and mat sequences to increase circulation, improve strength and balance with the support of a chair. Breath and move toward mind-body awareness and integration in a respectful light hearted way to support your daily journey. To register click here.

Safety

Babysitting Basics – Dec 7 & 8 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

This course is perfect for pre–teens (as young as 11 years old) to teenagers who have responsibility for younger family members. Participants will learn life and safety skills and the sensible decision–making skills parents need for them to have. Students will also be certified in Pediatric CPR & First Aid.

Cat & Dog First Aid – Online

In this course, learn the basics of caring for cats and dogs through a variety of topics – from understanding and checking your pet's vital signs, to preventative care for cats and dogs, to caring for the most critical emergency situations – including breathing and cardiac emergencies, wounds, bleeding, and seizures.
