Health Coaching Calls: All Health Coaching calls MUST be complete by October 31, 2025. Please note, if you are required to participate in health coaching, you must complete these calls in order to continue paying the 6% premium. 

Wellness Programming

  • We’re thrilled to welcome PeopleEQ, a nationwide wellness provider with a user-friendly app and website. Stay tuned for the rollout later this year!
  • Our contract with OSU services will end on 12/31/2025, therefore, all $400 wellness incentive dollars are due by November 1, 2025 to GatewaytoHealth@osumc.edu
  • There will be no biometrics in 2025.  We encourage you to visit your primary care provider for yearly exam.

Safety Spotlight

October is Fire Safety Month and the NFPA (National Fire Protetion Association) has identified “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home” as the theme for Fire Prevention Week, October 5-11, 2025, as this year’s focus.  You can read more information about Lithium-Ion battery safety here: NFPA: Charge Into Fire Safety

Other Fire Safety Reminders:

  • Avoid overloading outlets and never plug power strips into each other.
  • Report damaged electrical outlets, overladed circuits, or anything that could fuel a fire immediately.
  • If you see a fire, activate the nearest fire alarm pull station, and evacuate the building immediately by utilizing the nearest exit.
  • Never use elevators during a fire.

Wellness with OSU Urgent Care & EAP

  • As a City of Gahanna employee, you can schedule an appointment with our partners at OSU Urgent Care by calling them directly. The number to the Front Desk 614-366-4578 and their team can be reached during normal business hours for scheduling and questions.  
  • Through our EAP Provider, Bronson HelpNet, you can request non-urgent counseling online quickly and easily. Access the Online Request form for Counseling Services.
