Membership & Daily Admissions Rates
Thanks to your support, we are proud to announce that we have reduced our membership and daily entry rates starting in 2026! Pool memberships go on sale January 1. Early bird rates are available through March 31. Memberships can be purchased online or in-person at Gahanna City Hall. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Pool members get unlimited access to both the Gahanna Swimming Pool, Gahanna Splashpad, and the Hunters Ridge Pool. Members also receive discounted program registration/participation fees, free admission to all pool events, and discounted shelter rentals. Be one of the first 100 to purchase a 2026 pool membership to receive five free entry passes!
- Everyone must have a completed and signed liability waiver on file at the time of entry. Parent/Guardian required to sign if persons are under 18 years of age.
- Age 2 and under at time of admission do not need to pay gate admission or purchase a membership.

Payment Options
Memberships can be purchased in full, or in up to three installments, depending on the date of purchase. If installment billing is selected, the percentage of the total fee will be automatically charged to the card on file on pre-set dates. See below for the installment billing amount and schedule.

All installment bills must be paid in full by June 1. Installment bills that are unable to process will result in the membership being suspended until the balance is paid. Be aware, when purchasing online, installment billing is the default option when checking out. To pay in full, use the dropdown to select the “pay in full” option.
Pool Entry
The Gahanna Swimming Pool and the Hunters Ridge Pool are for the enjoyment of Gahanna residents, pool members, and their guests. Those who do not pay tax to the City of Gahanna, non-residents, must be accompanied by a resident of Gahanna or a current pool member to purchase a daily entry pass. Residents and non-residents are eligible to purchase a pool membership at any time. Guests age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older at all times. Members age 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older at all times. All guests must have a current liability waiver and picture on file.
Persons do not need to be City of Gahanna residents to utilize our facilities or participate in our programs. However, City of Gahanna residents are afforded lower rates for memberships, day passes, and most programs.
Who is Considered a City of Gahanna Resident? What Do I Need to Bring to Prove That I Am a Resident?
Any individual residing within the corporate limits of the City of Gahanna. This includes any home/condominium/apartment within taxing district No. 025. Please be advised that your address may state "Gahanna", but you may or may not live within the corporate limits. Mailing addresses are set up by the U.S. Postal Service. Individuals are required to provide a valid Ohio Driver License or State ID Card accompanied by a Gahanna Water Bill, another utility bill or tax bill.
How Do I Find Out if My Home is Within Taxing District Number 025?

- Click "Search by Address"
- Insert your address
- When info comes up, look for "Tax Status" and then look for "Tax District."
- If your number is 025, your home is within the City of Gahanna limits.
Who is Considered a Corporate Resident? What Do I Need to Bring to Prove That I Work in the City of Gahanna?
Any individual that lives outside the City of Gahanna corporate limits but is employed within the corporate limits of the City of Gahanna Individual is required to provide a recent pay stub (within the last 30 days) showing the person's name, business address and City taxes withheld. Individual must also provide a valid company photo ID card.
Why Do Non-Residents Pay More?
Residents pay property tax to the City of Gahanna. Corporate residents pay income tax to the City of Gahanna. As a result, residents and corporate residents are afforded a substantially lower rate.
But I Pay Gahanna-Jefferson School District Taxes. Why Can't I Get the Resident Rate?
The City of Gahanna and the Gahanna- Jefferson School District are separate entities. The Gahanna Jefferson School District goes well beyond the boundaries of the City of Gahanna and services students from Gahanna, Blacklick, and Columbus.
Gahanna Parks & Recreation operates two aquatic facilities: the Gahanna Swimming Pool and the Hunters Ridge Pool. The Gahanna Swimming Pool is also home to the Gahanna Splashpad. Click on the facility below to learn more.
Facilities
The Gahanna Swimming Pool features two pools and an attached splashpad. The front pool features two shallow ends that slope to a 12-foot middle, complete with two climbing walls. This pool is perfect for those who have younger children. The back pool features nine 50-meter lap lanes, Eight attached 25-meter lanes, 12-foot diving well with two adjustable diving boards, and 18-foot water slide.
The Gahanna Swimming Pool also has three reservable shelters. The small shelters have a capacity of 16, the large shelter has a capacity of 60. To check availability and reserve please visit our online reservation page or email our Aquatics team.
Pools open annually on Memorial Day weekend. Gahanna Swimming Pool closes when Gahanna Jefferson Public Schools resume the school year. Hunters Ridge Pool remains open weekends through Labor Day. Gahanna Swimming Pool will be open 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
The Hunters Ridge Pool features two pools and an attached park. The main pool features Eight 25-yard lap lanes, attached 12-foot diving well with two adjustable diving boards, and shallow water play area with a mushroom water feature. The second pool is an 18-inch-deep kiddie pool. This pool is available for children age 5 and under and their parents or guardians. The kiddie pool also has an attached covered play area.
The park features one full size basketball court, one tennis court, and a playground.
The Hunters Ridge Pool also has a reservable shelter with a capacity of 30 people. To check availability and reserve please visit our online reservation page or email our Aquatics team.
Pools open annually on Memorial Day weekend. Gahanna Swimming Pool closes when Gahanna Jefferson Public Schools resume the school year. Hunters Ridge Pool remains open weekends through Labor Day. Hunters Ridge will be open 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
We are excited to re-open the Gahanna Swimming Pool Splash Pad this season! The splash pad includes over 3,100 square feet of spray area and 41 different features designed for toddlers to teens, as well as shaded picnic areas, additional benches and a year-round restroom that is also accessible to the Big Walnut Trail.
This splash pad is an amenity of the pool and will be available to pool members and those who purchase a day pass during operating hours. It will be open and free to the public in the mornings from 8am-12pm, before the pool opens each day, as well as days on which the pool might not open.
The splash pad is closed for the 2025 season and will re-open in May 2026.
Pool Rules
General
- Lifeguards have the final say in all matters. Any guidelines deemed necessary for the safety and comfort of all patrons will be enforced. Aquatic staff have the authority to enforce all rules. Patrons who repeatedly violate the rules will be ejected.
- Adults must be in the water within arm's reach of all children who are using flotation devices at all times.
- Adults must be in the water within arm's reach of children (ages 5 and under) at all times.
- Only Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices (PFDs) allowed. Backpack floats and water wings without chest straps are not permitted.
- Rafts and large flotation devices are permitted at the discretion of Aquatics Staff.
- Only balls made for use in water are permitted. Footballs, volleyballs, basketballs, tennis balls, ect. are prohibited.
- Do not sit, hang, or play on pool ladders, lane lines, diving boards or starting blocks
- Non-swimmers of any age are not permitted in the deep-water areas of the pool
- No food or drink is permitted on the pool deck or in the water.
- Mermaid tails are not permitted.
- No outside private swim lessons or coaching is permitted by members or guests unless they have been pre-approved by the City of Gahanna.
- Lawn furniture may not be used on the pool decks.
- Safety breaks are called 15 minutes before each hour.
- During safety breaks, adults may swim and children 3 years and younger may swim with a parent or adult guardian within arm's reach at this time. Youth ages 4-17 must exit the water.
Attire
The City of Gahanna welcomes guests of all ages, abilities, religions, cultures, and genders to our aquatic facilities. Safe swimming is important to us. All participants are required to wear swimming attire suitable for a public family aquatic environment and must meet Health and other regulatory requirements.
Appropriate swim attire includes:
- Only clean appropriate attire designed for swimming is permitted in the water. Appropriate swimwear covers the buttocks, genitals, pubic region, and breasts of those who have them. Coverage of the breast is defined as covering the bottom of the breast to the top of the areola.
- Body Tape – if applied appropriately – is an acceptable form of coverage.
- Specifically, no street clothing can be worn in the water. Cut-offs, gym shorts, t-shirts, bras, underwear/compression shorts, thongs, sports bras, and see-through swimwear are all prohibited.
Children
- Change diapers only in the restrooms.
- Change children only in the restrooms.
- Adults must be in the water within arm's reach of all children who are using flotation devices at all times.
- Adults must be in the water within arm's reach of children (ages 5 and under) at all times.
- Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained. Swim diapers are available at the front desk for purchase. Regular diapers ate prohibited in the pool.
- Swimmers 13 and under, and/or those showing difficulty swimming, must pass a swim test before swimming in deep water. Lifeguards have the right to ask anyone to take a swim test at any time.
Diving
- Follow all Lifeguard instructions.
- No diving involving swimmer's head rotating towards the board (gainers, inwards, backward jumps or any dive deemed dangerous by the Aquatics staff).
- Only one person on the diving board at a time.
- Only one bounce is allowed per use.
- Make sure the diving area is clear before jumping into the pool.
- Participants must exit the area quickly to allow for next diver.
- Assistance of any kind will not be permitted. No "catching."
- No flotation devices, goggles, loose clothing, or glasses on the diving boards.
- Free swimming is allowed in the deep end only with the approval of the lifeguard and when diving board is not in use.
- To ensure the safety of our members, all swimmers age 13 and under are required to pass a swim test if they wish to use the diving boards or deep areas of the pool.
Slide
- Follow all Lifeguard instructions.
- You must be at least 48'' tall to go down the slide.
- Only one person may use the slide at a time.
- You must go down the slide feet first on your back/bottom.
- Assistance of any kind will not be permitted. No "catching."
- Participants must exit the area quickly to allow the next slide user.
- Flotation devices, goggles, loose clothing, and glasses are prohibited for use on the slide.
Health & Safety
- Running, spitting, rough play, pushing, jumping, haphazardly, snapping of towels and abusive or profane language are prohibited.
- All coolers must be searched before entry.
- Patrons shall not behave in manner that jeopardizes the safety and health of themselves and others.
- Users with open wounds or infectious diseases are not allowed in the pool.
- Purposeful hyperventilation and/or breath-holding is prohibited.
- The following items and behaviors are not permitted in the swimming pool: smoking, alcoholic beverages illegal substances, glass containers of any type, firearms, and water balloons.
- Any person who has had diarrhea in the last 2 weeks is not permitted to use the pool.
- We encourage the use of life jackets for non-swimmers who are swimming with a responsible adult.
Swim Test:
To ensure the safety of our members and guests, all swimmers age 13 and under will be required to take a swim test if they wish to use the diving board, or swim in the deep areas of the swimming pool. Any child who does not take or pass the swim test will be restricted from deep water but may still gain access to the shallow areas of the pool. Deep areas are defined as beyond chest depth.
General
- Los guardavidas tienen la última palabra en todas las situaciones. Se aplicarán todas las pautas que se consideren necesarias para la seguridad y comodidad de todos los usuarios. - No se permiten no nadadores de ninguna edad en las áreas de aguas profundas de la piscina.
- No se permite comida ni bebida en la cubierta de la piscina ni en el agua.
- Las colas de sirena no están permitidas.
- No se permiten las clases privadas de natación o entrenamiento de socios o invitados a menos que hayan sido aprobados previamente por la ciudad de Gahanna.
- No se pueden usar muebles de jardín en las cubiertas de la piscina.
- Los descansos de seguridad se llaman 15 minutos antes de cada hora.
- Durante los descansos de seguridad, los adultos pueden nadar y los niños de 3 años o menos pueden nadar con un padre o tutor adulto que esté a una distancia no mayor del alcance de la mano en este momento. Los jóvenes de 4 a 17 años deben salir del agua.
Vestimenta

- Específicamente, no se puede usar ropa de calle en el agua. Los shorts cortados, shorts de gimnasia, camisetas, sostenes, ropa interior/shorts de compresión, tangas, sujetadores deportivos y trajes de baño transparentes están prohibidos.
Niños
- Cambie los pañales solo en los baños.
- Cambie a los niños solo en los baños.
- En caso de niños que usen dispositivos de flotación, debe haber un adulto en el agua en todo momento a una distancia no mayor al alcance de la mano.
- Debe haber un adulto en el agua al alcance de la mano de niños menores de 5 años en todo momento.
- Se requieren pañales de natación para los niños que no pueden ir al baño solos. Puede comprar pañales de natación en la recepción. Los pañales regulares están prohibidos en la piscina.
- Los nadadores menores de 13 años, o aquellos que muestran dificultad para nadar, deben pasar una prueba de natación antes de nadar en aguas profundas. Los salvavidas tienen derecho a pedirle a cualquier persona que tome una prueba de natación en cualquier momento.
Clavados
- Siga todas las instrucciones del guardavidas.
- No se permiten los clavados en los que la cabeza del nadador gira hacia la tabla (salto inverso, hacia adentro, saltos hacia atrás o cualquier clavado que el personal de la piscina considere peligroso).

Salud y seguridad
- Está prohibido correr, escupir, jugar bruscamente, empujar, saltar, moverse alocadamente, golpear con toallas y el lenguaje abusivo o profano.
- Todas las heladeras portátiles deben ser registradas antes de la entrada.
- Los usuarios no se comportarán de manera que pongan en peligro la seguridad y la salud de sí mismos y de los demás.
- Los usuarios con heridas abiertas o enfermedades infecciosas no pueden estar en la piscina.
- Se prohíbe la hiperventilación intencional o la contención de la respiración.
- Los siguientes elementos y comportamientos no están permitidos en la piscina: fumar, bebidas alcohólicas, sustancias ilegales, envases de vidrio de cualquier tipo, armas de fuego y globos de agua.
- Cualquier persona que haya tenido diarrea en las últimas 2 semanas no puede usar la piscina.
- Recomendamos el uso de chalecos salvavidas para los no nadadores que nadan con un adulto responsable.
Por su seguridad: pruebas de natación
Para garantizar la seguridad de nuestros socios e invitados, todos los nadadores menores de 13 años deben pasar una prueba de natación si desean utilizar los trampolines o nadar en las áreas profundas de la piscina. Todo niño que no tome o pase la prueba de natación no podrá acceder a la zona de aguas profundas, pero aún puede tener acceso a las áreas poco profundas de la piscina. Las áreas profundas se definen como más allá de la profundidad del pecho.
